How it works

Check any game's value in seconds

Search a title, choose the platform and region, and MyPlayersVault gives you the real market value — no guesswork, no inflated asking prices.

1

Search the game

Type any title and choose its platform. Autocomplete finds the exact edition you mean, retro or current.

2

Choose the region

UK/PAL, NTSC-U or NTSC-J. Prices are region-specific, because the same game can be worth very different amounts in each.

3

See the value

New, used and CEV values shown side by side, a vault score, and the full price history — all from real sold-listing data.

New, used & CEV

Three values, every time

Every game shows three numbers side by side: its new and used market prices, plus its CEV — Collector Equity Value, our own estimate of what the game is genuinely worth to a collector, taken as NEW (or as USED where there is no NEW price). Compare the CEV against the asking price and you can see at a glance whether a copy is a bargain or overpriced.

Where the numbers come from

Built on real market data

Values reflect what copies actually sell for — not the optimistic prices sellers list at.

Real sold data

Pricing is based on genuine market sold-listing data, so the value reflects reality rather than hopeful asking prices.

Verified physical releases

Every physical release is confirmed against a verified release database, so you're checking a copy that genuinely exists in that region.

Proper artwork & details

Cover art and game details come from IGDB, so the right edition is matched to the right cover.

Questions

Price checker FAQ

How do I check a video game's value?
Search the game by title and pick its platform and region. MyPlayersVault shows its current new, used and CEV values side by side, along with a vault score and price history.
What is CEV (Collector Equity Value)?
CEV stands for Collector Equity Value — our own estimate of what a game is genuinely worth to a collector, based on its vault score and live market data. It values the game in NEW condition; where there is no NEW price, it is based on the USED value instead. Comparing the CEV against the asking price shows whether a copy is under- or over-priced.
Is the price checker free to use?
A free account gives you a capped number of checks; Pro unlocks full access. Early members lock in a lower price while we’re still in development.
Which regions does it cover?
Prices are region-specific across UK/PAL, NTSC-U (North America) and NTSC-J (Japan and Asia). The region is handled per game, never assumed.
Where does the price data come from?
Values are based on real market sold-listing data rather than asking prices, with physical releases confirmed against a verified release database and artwork taken from IGDB.
Does it work for retro and older games?
Yes. Retro and older titles are covered alongside current titles, with the same new and used pricing and price history.
