PLATFORM RELIC

Stranglehold is a mid-2000s action title from Midway that exists across three platforms but has faded from active collector circulation. The PS3 release remains playable as a complete single-player experience, though online multiplayer infrastructure is gone. Sealed copies appear selectively in the UK market at modest price points, reflecting cooling demand rather than genuine scarcity. The game holds niche appeal for PS3 action collectors and John Woo enthusiasts, but lacks the cultural resonance or mechanical innovation that drives sustained collector interest. As a legacy platform release from a publisher no longer operating, it occupies a quiet corner of the retro market.
