Lover Pretend represents a boutique visual novel release through Aksys Games, a publisher known for curating niche narrative experiences for North American collectors. The physical Switch cartridge exists in genuinely limited circulation, reflecting the boutique publisher's selective distribution model rather than mass-market saturation. Visual novels on Switch occupy a distinct collector niche, with sealed physical copies commanding sustained interest among genre enthusiasts. The title's scarcity stems from intentional limited production rather than market rejection, positioning it as an emerging collector asset within the visual novel community. Nintendo Switch's enduring platform status ensures format resilience and long-term playability from the cartridge.
