VIEW FULL ANALYSIS →How much is MUSHA worth on Sega Mega Drive? This price guide tracks new, used and sealed prices for this 1991 Shoot'em Up release, with recent price trends. In North America (NTSC-U) it currently values around £1884 new and £754 used, with a MyPlayersVault collector score of 99 (SOVEREIGN ORPHAN tier). Sealed value is up 19% over the past 5 months.
MUSHA stands as one of the most sought shmup cartridges in the North American Mega Drive collector ecosystem. The sealed NTSC-U copy represents an institutional-grade holding—Toaplan's arcade-to-home conversion arrived in a market with minimal retail penetration, creating genuine scarcity that has only intensified as shmup collecting has matured. The cartridge format ensures complete disc playability with zero online dependencies, making the physical object itself the irreplaceable artifact. Collector momentum remains strong within the shmup community, where MUSHA occupies a prestige tier alongside titles like Gunstar Heroes and Rocket Knight Adventures. This is a title where sealed condition and regional specificity create permanent collector identity rather than speculative positioning.
